Winnebago is a brand of American Motorhome that started in 1958 by business man John K. Hanson in Forest City, Winnebago County, Lowa.
Us Brits use the name Winnebago to describe a American Motorhomes as we use the brand name Hoover for vacuum cleaners.
In 1966 the first Winnebago motorhome rolled off the Winnebago Industries factory line almost half the price of there closest competition. This soon became a popular model amongst the American Motorhome community.
The distinctive flying 'W' logo with strips connecting the front and the back of the Winnebago was seen on their early models such as the Brave, Indian, Warrior and Chieftain.
